The brand name "Perpanep" comes from a combination of the word "pen" and "paper" in Japanese. The goal of this brand is to provide the best writing experiences by combining the right paper with the right writing instrument. The series comes with notebooks with 3 kinds of original paper (Sarasara- Smooth, Tsurutsuru-Ultra Smooth, and Zarazara-Textured) paired with 3 types of pens (Ballpoint pens, Pin pens and Fountain pens). Since the notebook opens flat completely, there's no gap in the center and is very convenient for drawing large graphs up to A4 size.

The Zarazara (textured) paper has more textures than the other 2 types of paper by using thick pulp and keeping the surface hard. However, the paper is still smooth and light and it provides a pleasant experience for anyone that loves the sound of writing.

Great notebook. Good for fountain pens

The paper has some texture, which I thought it was going to let ink to bleed. I was glad to see that it wasn’t the case. Had no issues with smearing or bleeding through.
Quality of the paper is great. Sheets are very white.
