The Gantt Chart Insert for my May Flower Garden

Hello there,

I hope you're soaking up the start of summer! Here in New Jersey, the heat has finally arrived — along with the occasional thunderstorm to keep things interesting. The late spring blooms have come and gone, and everything is settling into what promises to be a pleasant, moderate summer.

This week, instead of highlighting new arrivals, I wanted to share something a little more personal: how the Accordion Gantt Chart inserts from Atabo have become an essential part of one of my newest hobbies — gardening, and specifically, growing roses.

Since late April, I've been planning a full overhaul of my front yard. I've purchased a number of David Austin roses along with companion plants like English salvia, and the collection has grown quickly. With so many plants to keep track of, it became surprisingly complicated to log each milestone — when something was transplanted, fertilized, first flowered, or pruned. That's when I discovered how perfectly these Atabo inserts fit the job:

May Page

June Page

As you can see, each page of the insert represents a single month, and each row tracks an individual rose or flowering plant. I use a simple color-coding system for major events: purple for when a plant was bought or acquired, green for when it was transplanted, pink for when it first flowered, and so on. I also jot down notes whenever something looks off or a disease starts to spread. For instance, one of my roses went into transplant shock in May — having that noted made it so much easier to monitor closely. It's worth noting that the accordion fold tucks neatly into my planner and keeps everything in one place.

Whether you're managing a planting schedule, tracking a reading list, or working through a renovation project, I think you'll find this insert surprisingly versatile. And if you're already using it, I'd love to hear how!

Along with the Accordion-style Gantt Chart inserts, the to-do inserts have also just been restocked in all three ring planner sizes: Personal (or Bible), Pocket (or Mini 6), and Mini (or Mini 5). Be sure to check out our restocked section when you get a chance!
